Richard J. Murphy, president and CEO of South Nassau Communities Hospital, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS). HANYS is a statewide advocacy organization for over 550 nonprofit and public hospitals and other healthcare providers in New York. Mr. Murphy looks forward to working with HANYS leadership and other board members to fulfill its mission of advancing healthcare in New York. He has served as president and CEO of South Nassau since 2012 and overseen several quality awards and the restoration of healthcare services to Long Beach after Hurricane Sandy.
