This document records a risk assessment undertaken on December 16, 2013 to identify potential hazards associated with editing photographs in a room with multiple computers. Four main hazards were identified: spilled drinks damaging electrical equipment; tripping over tables, chairs, or bags; and tripping over wires or cables. Those at risk of harm from these hazards include users of the computers and anyone in the room. Existing controls to reduce risk include not allowing drinks near computers, arranging equipment so towers are hidden, keeping chairs pushed in, and following rules about movement in the room. Further actions proposed include banning drinks, making people follow rules, getting a bigger room, and using wireless headphones.
