Hazards • In a dance studio are bags and other items splayed around the floor, causing someone to trip and fall. • Wearing socks can be a health and safety issue because if you are running or dancing you could slip. • Dance equipment can be another health and safety issue such as ballet bars. • Not wearing appropriate clothing.
- 3. How to resolve these Keeping bags away from the dance area and windows. Placing bags in the corner of the room is safer. Having bare feet, socks half way or wearing jazz shoes can prevent injury.
- 4. If dance equipment such as ballet bars are not being used it is safe to have then left on the side or next to mirrors to avoid injury to students or damage to the equipment. Wearing appropriate clothing is very important. It helps to prevent injury. For example if the dance in the screen shot was wearing clothing with added accessories on it could fall of and hurt other people as well as her self. It is important to wear clothing such as leggings or tracksuit bottoms to avoid falling. Removing jewellery and trying up your hair is also important, it stops you or other people around you pulling earing or hair when dancing.
