Risk Assessment – The Jargon
Hazard – Something with the potential to cause harm
Risk – The likelihood that someone will be harmed by the
hazard
1. High Risk – likely to cause serious injury or consequence,
will be or need structured control measures
2. Medium Risk – chance of injury or consequence, may be
or may need some control
3. Low Risk – minimal chance of injury or consequence,
probably will not need control measures
