RESEARCH PROJEST: COMPARISON OF MIX DESIGN CODES (IN PROGRESS)
Comparison of various Mix Design codes in the casting of cubes by taking three grades of concrete into consideration (M30, M50 and M70) and
keeping the other parameters same like grade of OPC, exposure, maximum nominal size of aggregate, type of coarse aggregate, zone of sand,
specific gravity, percentage absorption and moisture and the quality of mineral and chemical admixtures same.
Later a comparative study on strength variation with respect to different parameters for 1, 3, 7, 14, 28 and 56 days will be made. Moreover a
user interface design will be created for the above purpose using a Database Management System. Further study on microscopic structure will
also be done using SEM.
