The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) recognizes software product and manufacturing companies. There isn't a specific 'right time' to apply for DSIR recognition; eligibility begins after three years of company operation. If eligible, companies are encouraged to apply for recognition without delay.

Very often, during our consultations, weget asked if there is a “right time” to apply for DSIR
recognition.
There isn’t really a righttime as such for applying for the recognition.As soon as your company is
three years old you aregood to go.
So technically speaking,there is a righttime after all!;)
OK OK, on a serious note, as long as you are you are eligible as per the DSIR, there is no
right or wrong time!!
So, if you are eligible,go ahead, apply and get recognised by the DSIR!!
