The Centre for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies (COES) brings together academics from multiple disciplines to research social conflict and cohesion in Chile. COES focuses on analyzing manifestations of social conflict, studying their causes and contexts. It is coordinated by four Chilean universities and financed by CONICYT. COES research is divided into four lines: 1) the socioeconomic dimensions of conflict, 2) group and individual interactions, 3) social and political conflict, and 4) the spatial dimension of conflict. Each line contains multiple research projects and academics studying topics related to social conflicts in Chile.
