Springwater Food Bank (1 year)
Set up and ran a Food Bank at my local church, Springwater, Peppard Common
Liaised with other local Food Banks, such as ReadiFood, and other authorities
such as SOHA housing, Social Services, Doctor's surgeries etc, in order to assess
local needs and obtain referrals
Organised donations, (monetary as well as food donations)
Organised and set up a stall at The Henley Christmas Festival. The main
purpose of the stall was to raise funds as well as promoting and raising
awareness of the food bank
Liaised with local companies to receive donations for the tombola. The stall
was a success and I managed to raise over £350, which was spent on Christmas
hampers for our recipients
Organised Street Collections with SODC and raised a further £500 in total

Dispensing prescriptions, I would collect over 100 prescriptions, and together,
the pharmacist and I would have them finished in two hours as well as serving
and dispensing customer prescriptions in between
Dispensing prescriptions requires a lot of attention to detail. Getting it wrong
can have disastrous – and even dangerous consequences for the customer and
as such I had to work quickly and accurately

Learned how to prepare antibiotic suspensions, and dispense loose pills with
the use of counting triangles
