The document discusses the importance of being steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord based on 1 Corinthians 15:58. It provides additional context from other biblical passages emphasizing that conviction and strong faith are required to remain steadfast. Constancy in the faith and fervor in serving the Lord are also necessary based on passages exhorting believers to always rejoice and work for their salvation. The overall message is that devotion to the Lord requires unwavering commitment, perseverance, and abundant zeal.
The document discusses why Christians follow the practices and teachings found in the New Testament rather than other sources of authority. It provides biblical justification for why Christians sing a cappella, believe baptism is necessary for salvation, have elders rather than a single pastor, and give voluntary offerings on Sundays. The document encourages examining the reasons for one's own religious practices and ensuring they are biblically authorized.

Our bodies are now the temple of God (1Cor. 3:16,17). Is your temple in a ready state to be used? Is it being used for it's created purpose? Is your temple defiled? Since our bodies are now the temple of the Living God, these questions are monumentally important!
This document contains multiple Bible verses discussing righteousness and holy conduct. It encourages readers to pursue virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, kindness and love. It warns against calling evil good and good evil. The verses suggest that by following these principles one can be fruitful, gain entrance to God's kingdom, and do ongoing good for others.
The document discusses good works from a Christian perspective. It defines good works as acts of service, mercy, and righteousness done through faith in Jesus Christ and with the power of the Holy Spirit. The document encourages Christians to abound in good works and cites many biblical examples of good works.
The document is a pastoral prayer for the new year based on Colossians 1:9-12. It consists of three parts:
1. Prayer for spiritual understanding and knowledge of God's will through studying his word at every stage of life.
2. Prayer for spiritual productivity, including walking worthily before God through holiness, and bearing fruit through good works done with the right spirit.
3. Prayer for spiritual power to endure whatever people, persecution, or problems may come through patience and joy in the hope we have in Christ and the victory and co-rule with him we will receive.
The prayer concludes by asking God to fill them with knowledge of his will, enable a life pleasing
In this message we look at a few New Testament passage that speak to us believers on how we should live our daily Christian lives in view of the End Time and life hereafter.

The document provides an overview of several biblical passages that show "The Big Picture" perspective from God. It summarizes key points from Jeremiah, Corinthians, Matthew, Romans, Galatians, James and other books that illustrate how understanding life events from God's broader perspective can provide hope, comfort and direction. It aims to help readers evaluate their own lives in light of what God says about himself, humanity, the world and how he brings about change.
The document provides guidance for overcoming discouragement in various situations. It advises that when discouraged by liars, one should focus on God's truth; when discouraged by health issues, one should dwell in God's house; and when discouraged by hard work or loved ones' trials, one should pray to God and not lose heart, as He will strengthen the heart. In all cases of discouragement, the document recommends waiting on the Lord and believing that He will show His goodness.
“Godly Living In Perilous Times" - (2 Timothy 1:3-4:18) - Can any Bible believer doubt that we are living in perilous times? 1) Sanctification is a process of spiritual maturation that takes place over time through God's power, not our own efforts. It involves transforming all aspects of our being - spirit, soul, and body.
2) Holiness involves both separating ourselves from sin and dedicating ourselves to God. We are saved by grace, not works, but we are saved unto good works.
3) True holiness is a result of salvation, not a means of earning it. God demands an external witness of our internal holiness through good works.
This document discusses what our deepest prayer in life should be based on passages from the Bible. It examines prayers from Paul, Ephesians and Colossians that focus on growing closer to God through wisdom, knowledge and understanding his will. The Lord's Prayer is presented as containing prayers for eternity and everyday needs. It should focus on God, his name, kingdom and will rather than being self-centered. We are called to pray for God's reign, fruitfulness for his kingdom, and discernment of his will.

This document defines repentance and discusses why it is necessary according to scripture. It provides numerous Bible verses to support that repentance involves turning from sin and toward God, is commanded by God and Jesus Christ, involves conviction of sin and faith, and is necessary for salvation and the forgiveness of sins. Repentance should be accompanied by fruits worthy of repentance including humility, shame, and confession of sins. It is something that all people must do according to scripture.
The document discusses the need for Christians to be ready for good works. It reminds believers to obey rulers and authorities and to maintain good works. Christians have been saved by God's mercy and grace through faith alone, not works, but they are now saved for works. Believers should rejoice in their salvation and be careful to practice good works, which bring glory to God and are profitable to others. Christians must plan and prepare to be ready for every opportunity to do good.
The document discusses why we work from both a biblical and practical perspective. It begins by citing Genesis 3:17-18, where God curses the ground and tells Adam he must work by the sweat of his brow to eat. It then discusses some wrong reasons for working, such as to acquire things, impress others, or feel useless. The right reasons given are that work is part of God's plan, allows us to help those in need, and shows we trust in God rather than working to earn salvation or heaven. The overall message is that we should work diligently not for selfish gain but to fulfill God's purpose and help others.
Act 20:35 "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Similar to Resurrection 1 Cor 15 58, study of our victory in Christ (20)
The document discusses how to receive eternal life as a gift from God. It says that all people have sinned and deserve death, but God offers salvation through Jesus. To receive this gift, one must: 1) believe in Jesus, 2) repent of sins, and 3) confess faith in Jesus before others. It further explains that one should also be baptized, which buries the believer with Christ into His death and raises them to walk in newness of life. Remaining faithful to Jesus is also required to receive the crown of life.
The document discusses reasons to be thankful based on Colossians 1:12-14. It provides three main reasons for thankfulness: 1) it honors God, 2) it is commanded, and 3) thanklessness can have negative consequences. It then examines the passage in more detail, noting that believers have been qualified through Christ for an inheritance with the saints, delivered from darkness and Satan's power, and transferred to God's kingdom through redemption and forgiveness of sins.
The document contains lyrics and instructions for songs of praise to God. It discusses how singing is a commanded form of worship in the Bible and should be done from the heart. The document encourages believers to praise God through singing and make it a priority, as believers have been redeemed and have reason to sing about God's salvation and works. Songs included discuss praising God for his strength, salvation, and for redeeming believers through Jesus' blood.
The document discusses the problem of hypocrisy. It defines hypocrisy as acting for appearance's sake rather than sincerely, doing things one condemns in others, and ignoring one's own faults. It gives examples from the New Testament of how the Pharisees and scribes acted hypocritically for show. It also discusses how hypocrisy can cause others to stumble, is a sign of apostasy, and if left unchecked can lead one to abandon their faith altogether.
1) Paul says he is a servant of Christ and steward of God's mysteries, and that as a steward he must be found faithful.
2) Though he has done much wrong in the past persecuting the church, he now lives with a clear conscience before God and does not judge himself.
3) Only God can truly judge him for how faithful he has been.
A prophet from Judah prophesied against an altar at Bethel, saying that a man named Josiah would sacrifice priests there. King Jeroboam invited the prophet to his house, but he refused, saying he was commanded not to. An old prophet lied to the prophet, saying an angel told him to bring the prophet back with him. The prophet went with the old prophet and was killed by a lion as prophesied, for disobeying God's command. This story teaches that we must obey God rather than men, and we will all give an account of ourselves to God.
This document contains passages from the Bible about how followers of Christ should treat their enemies. It discusses Jesus' teachings that his disciples should love their enemies and pray for those who persecute them. The document emphasizes that Christians should not seek revenge but instead overcome evil with good. It encourages readers to not just love those who love them but to have love and kindness for all people.
This document discusses the concept of waiting from a Christian perspective. It examines what waiting entails according to Scripture - it is about trusting that God is in control and will take care of every situation. True waiting involves complete trust in God and zealously serving Him as we await His return. The document uses examples from the Bible to illustrate the importance of readiness as we wait, through parables of waiting for a bridegroom, servants given talents, and serving Jesus by serving others. It concludes that if we truly trust in God's power and faithfulness, we will wait for His justice and mercy while hoping in His salvation and waiting for Jesus.
The document discusses the negative effects of covetousness, listing them as: 1) It blunts the sensitive nerve of love; 2) It blurs the picture of life; 3) It banishes the fruit of generosity; 4) It breeds the worm of discontent; 5) It burdens the spirit with sorrow; 6) It blinds one to the true meaning of life; 7) It blasts the devotee with misery. The document uses numerous Bible verses to support each of these points.
The Book of Ruth is included in the third division, or the Writings, of the Hebrew Bible. In most Christian canons it is treated as one of the historical books and placed between Judges and 1 Samuel.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
