Alaskan Observers Inc., Coos Bay, OR, March 2016 – November 2016
 Worked as a Fisheries Observer / Biologist on board commercial fishing
vessels, and as a Catch Share Monitor at multiple fish plants along the
coast of the Pacific Northwest.
 As an observer duties included: identifying to species all fish and
invertebrates caught aboard commercial fishing vessels, sorting through
catch and by-catch, taking biological samples of priority and key species,
utilizing random sampling and collecting catch data, working closely with
the captain and crew of each vessel, having knowledge of marine
mammals and seabirds, understanding laws and regulations in relation to
priority and prohibited marine species, sending in data to NOAA and
debriefing periodically.
 As a Catch Share Monitor duties included: working alongside plant
managers and personnel to sort and weigh a fishing vessel’s catch,
strong understanding of each plant’s various sorting and weighing
methods, identifying to species fish and invertebrates brought in to the
plant, working safely in and among factory equipment, knowledge of state
laws and regulations in regards to prohibited and priority species,
collaborate with dock manager to ensure that both parties obtained the
same fish count and weight for each species, send in collected data to
PSMFC, and debrief with PSMFC periodically.
 Responsible for all travel to and from various ports along the Pacific
Northwest, responsible for contacting and connecting with captains for
fishing dates and plant managers for offload times, responsible for
contacting plants if there is any discrepancy in data and using positive
communication skills to correct collected data in a timely manner.
 Took photos of species for proof of correct identification while on the job,
two of which are being used by NOAA for their 2017 Fisheries ID Manual.
Sail South Carolina, Charleston, SC, April 2014 – May 2015
 Sailed and served as a First Mate aboard a 43 foot Endeavor sailboat:
Panacea, and aboard a 41 foot Jeanneau sailboat: Habibi.
 First Mate duties included arriving early and staying late for set up, take
down, and cleaning of the kitchen, head, and deck. Responsible for
docking, hoisting the sails, pulling the fenders, and physically lifting 40+
pounds while on a moving vessel regularly.
 Provided exceptional customer service by walking guests and their
coolers to and from the boat slip, assisted with boarding, provided and
served food and beverages to guests, as well as provided accurate
information oh Historic downtown Charleston and the harbor itself.
Grice Marine Laboratory, Fort Johnson, SC, August 2012- August 2013
 Monitored and cared for dozens of marine organisms, namely common
invertebrates and fishes.
 Supervised and maintained artificial marine habitats.
 Helped to inform the public, mainly children, about marine animals and their
ecosystems while running a touch tank display.
 Assisted with basic tasks aboard a DNR trawl boat.

 Operated my own logistics business under Burlington Northern Santa Fe
(BNSF) Logistics.
 In sales, I was directly responsible for cold-calling potential customers,
selling them on BNSF’s logistical operations, and working directly with
those customers each day to ensure their products were shipped and
delivered successfully: both on time and in perfect condition.
 In logistical operations, I was solely responsible for all of my customers’
shipping orders and day-to-day freight movements. I had to personally
book reliable trucks, schedule pickup and delivery appointments, track
and trace all shipments, ensure that the accounting information was
correct on each shipment, all while providing exceptional customer
service.
The Mills House, Charleston, SC, April 2014 – November 2014
 Bartended and worked a wide array of events and social gatherings.
 Assisted with set up and take down, requiring constant moving and lifting
of heavy, fragile, and bulky items over long periods of time.
 Responsible for all alcohol and drink preparations. Provided 5 star
services to attendees and guests through positive communication.
 In charge of charting and monitoring all use of Alcohol during the events.
