James Altman has over 25 years of experience as an explosive detection canine handler and patrolman with the Allegheny County Police in Pittsburgh, PA. He is currently a senior canine handler and unit supervisor, responsible for maintaining canine training requirements and supervising training. Previously, he served in the US Air Force as a security policeman from 1987 to 1993. He has approximately 50 credit hours towards an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice. Altman has extensive job-related training in explosive detection and response.
