ABOUT ME
I’m a twenty-year-old student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte who
aspires to be a future leader in the financial industry. I’ve had one job for the past
two and a half years at a private country club (Highland Country Club) as a waiter.
At Highland, I have to be attentive, fast on my feet, a team player and most
importantly treat the customer in a professional way. The factors that make me
stand out are my attention to detail, and can-do attitude. Being an employee at
Highland Country Club has helped me form perspectives in hard work both
mentally and physically, through such activities as, moving heavy furniture to
preparing for wedding receptions or formal dinners, and understanding proper
etiquette.
My goal in life is to be the best at whatever I do. To do that, I know I have to start
at the bottom and take in all the experiences I can. Highland Country Club has
been my first stepping stone of many to come. But I have to keep adding to my
resume, adding to my skills, and as a result, it will make me more valuable.
SKILLS
Throughout my years, I have developed several strong skills, such as:
Intelligent – I believe intelligence is a strong foundation for success. I am quick to
learn new things. The faster you learn the more productive you can become.
Hardworking – I never shy away from any task at work. Based on my ability to
make decisions and solve problems, I have become one of the “go to” employees.
I know nothing great is accomplished easily. The foundation of an effective
organization lies in the ability of its hardworking employees who execute.
Team Player – I learned long ago that most everything we do in life is a team
effort. Communication, flexibility and sound judgement are the traits which make
me a great team player, as either a team member or leader.
Computer/technical literacy – I am proficient in most office software, including
the Microsoft Office suite.
