This document discusses Google's terms of service and privacy policy. It provides an overview of what users agree to when using Google services, including that Google can use their data for advertising purposes. While Google says it needs to collect user information to improve services, others argue it collects too much private information. The document also notes some cases where Google has defended users' privacy, but also examples where it may not have taken privacy seriously enough, such as using long-lasting cookies.
The document describes 4 options for a final piece interpreting Nicholas Lockyer's work, each using aspects of a different pop culture franchise. Option 1 uses elements from the TV show "Doctor Who", replacing elements in Lockyer's work with images from the show. Option 2 draws from the "Mario" game series. Option 3 incorporates aspects of the "Pokémon" games. Option 4 takes influence from the "Sonic" games. For each option, the student replaces elements in Lockyer's original work and manipulates images using Photoshop filters to create a new interpretation relating to their chosen pop culture theme.
Google+ is Google's social networking platform, launched in 2011. It allows users to share status updates, links, photos and videos with circles of contacts. This document outlines a presentation about geo-tagging with the BuddyPress plugin. It discusses how BuddyPress allows users to redefine the social layer by customizing features like profiles, groups, and activity streams. Examples are given of how BuddyPress has been used to build social networking sites like Foursquare. The document also lists several plugins that extend BuddyPress's functionality, such as geo-tagging posts, managing documents and photos, and integrating with external networks like Facebook and Twitter.
The document provides 12 ideas for incorporating creativity and humor into teaching. Some of the ideas include creating a timeline of the school year with punny descriptions and images for each subject, using quotes and comics related to topics, assigning creative tasks like having students sell tasks like Tom Sawyer, making creative calendars, and using props, music, or a classroom mascot to engage students. The overall suggestions aim to help teachers and students feel more engaged and have fun while learning through creative and humorous approaches.
