This document describes a study on modeling the snowmelt runoff of the Ghizer River Basin in Pakistan using a temperature index model. The objectives are to simulate snowmelt runoff using temperature as an index, estimate snowmelt and rainfall contributions to total flow, and investigate the relationship between temperature, snowmelt, and rainfall as components of river flow. The study area is the Ghizer River at the Phandar basin in northern Pakistan. A snowmelt runoff model using a temperature index approach will be used, which calculates melt rates based on air temperature.
