Request for Proposal to Upgrade Technological Systems
Submitted by: Imani Clark
Date: 10/2/14
Abstract
The technological systems used by this dentist office has been having
issues for the past three years because it hasn’t been allowing patients to
see their recent progress and results. Therefore, it has been strenuous for
the dental hygienists to keep track of the various patients. An upgrade in
systems would benefit this office in being more time efficient and being
to cater more to the patients’ health needs.
Request for Proposal
To upgrade the technological systems to a higher, more qualified system
Goal
The proposal to upgrade to a more qualified system will improve time
efficiency when accompanying patients as well as their health care
needs.
Objective
Upgrading technological systems will advance service to the patient as
well as provide a more clear understanding of what is going on with his
or her health by 80% and produce a faster and easier way to keep track
of the patient by 75% within the first year of implementation effective
January 1, 2015.
Introduction/Background
In the past three years, there has been an unsatisfactory number of
complaints from patients as to why they haven’t been receiving
information about their appointments. This has significantly lowered the
office’s patient service rating by more than 45%. An upgrade in
technological systems will improve the patients experience in the dentist
chair as well as time efficiency when dealing with paper work.
By upgrading technological systems, dental assistants and dental
hygienists will be able to accurately view a patient’s dental history with
pictures and detailed notes. When a patient asks a question about his or
her health, an assistant or hygienist can easily access information which
would increase patient service. If the patient is content, then the work
environment will become a relaxed atmosphere for prosperous
intermingling communication.
Credibility
 One of the top systems used by dentist offices across America
 “Quick to Learn. Easy to Use.” – American Dental Association
(2012)
 Local dental offices have been using this system and it has been
successful
