Future studies could involve larger samples and measuring actual behavior change.

It introduces the concept of environmental e-health as studying the impacts of e-health technologies on the environment. An environmental e-health impact model is presented and different types of e-health readiness are described. It is argued that environmental e-health impact assessment should be incorporated into e-health readiness assessment from a perspective of responsibility and doing no harm. Practices, processes, and policies for mitigating environmental impacts of e-health are recommended.
