This document summarizes the story of Krishna and Balarama rescuing Nanda Maharaja from the clutches of Varuna. On Ekadasi, Nanda Maharaja was arrested by one of Varuna's servants while going to the Yamuna river. Krishna and Balarama went to Varuna's abode, where Varuna begged forgiveness for his servant's mistake and released Nanda Maharaja. Krishna then showed Nanda Maharaja and the Vrajavasis the spiritual world near the lake to teach them about transcending material life and reaching the spiritual world through devotional service.
