I always tried to maintain a cordial, respectful and nice relationship with the parents, ECEs and

children. Before implementing my fish project I informed and explained my ECE about my fish

project and got his go ahead to get the project underway. I then tried to understand and get to

know the interests of the children about fish and fish project. Then in order to obtain the consent

of the parents, I handed over the rationale to them about my project. When I received

overwhelming response and feedback from the children and parents, I began my project. The

method of communication had contributed enormously and had created respectful relationship

with the children, ECEs and parents.

While doing this project I followed the Reggio Emilia (emergent curriculum) Approach because

it collaborates working together with children, teacher, parents, community. I came to learn from

children how they learn using the Reggio Emilia (emergent curriculum) Approach’s Image

which reveals, child is competent, curious, Problem solver, resourceful. The project also showed

the video film “Finding Nemo” to the children using the method of Reggio Emilia (emergent

curriculum) Approach, documentation.

The project needed me to research on how to make the project more and more enjoyable,

effective and beneficial to the children. The project showed various aspects related to curriculum

through it’s visual approach showed in a overhead TV and was enjoyed by the children and

ECEs. The project was a great learning experience for myself and for the children. The learning

about the project was valuable as a citizen of the world because the fish project acquainted the

children for the first time with the fish, the life cycle of the fish and real bones of fish. As a

citizen of the world we cannot ignore this wonderful creature of the God “the fish” and the

benefit of this creature for the human beings. Therefore learning about this project was valuable

as a citizen of the world for these children.
