This lesson plan reflection summarizes a lesson for a diverse class of 22 fifth grade students between the ages of 5-6. There were students from Morocco, Asia, Senegal, Hispanic backgrounds, and Caucasian students. The lesson went well, with all students actively participating in the activities and storytelling. For future lessons, the teacher would shorten the animal movement activity and do it after storytelling to better manage the students' energy levels. Overall, the students demonstrated what they learned and expressed enjoyment of the lesson.

1. Lesson Plan Reflection
This lesson was done for a class of 22, P5 grade students, ranging in ages from
5-6. The class was made up of 13 girls and 9 boys. There were 12 Morrocan
students,1 Asian student, 1 Senegalese student, 3 Hispanic Students, and 5
Caucasian students. Two of the students have autism and they were
accompained by the special education teacher in the class. However, even with
the diversity among the cultures, language was not a problem because English is
a new language from all of them, so even there is a variety of learning levels in
this class all of them were so motivated during the lesson.
Overall, this lesson went very well. I feel that the students understood everything
that was expected of them and they really did live up to my expectations. The
students worked well and were actively participating in all the activities proposed.
They were pretty focused on the storytelling and during the song.
The only part that I would change the next time I do this lesson is the timing. I will
do the “Animal movements and sounds” shorter and maybe after the storytelling
because they get so excited and took a little time to calm them down. Even that,
we just finished the class about 5 minutes later.
To sum up, it was wonderful to see the students putting into practice what they
learned and participating during the lesson. My students expressed to me that
they enjoyed and they were happy to bring the stick puppet at home.
