2. THE LIFT
We were told that it was a good idea, it just needs more of a
narrative to base it on.
We also had an idea of as the lift goes up the floors a character
fades as if having died at an older age.
We need to think about the ages we want them to be at which
floor and the drama happening to them at that age and the
difficulties they face to actually have a story.
Our audience felt it would make an interesting and humourous
short film, it just needs more development.
3. DOMESTIC ABUSE
Because of the locations we want to film to get a realistic feel it
would be difficult to get access to a hospital or a police cell.
It would also be problems making the abuse look true unless we
actually had them hitting each other which is impossible
obviously for health and safety reasons.
We were told we need to keep our practicalities in mind whilst is
a good story with an interesting twist, it would be extremely hard
to recreate it without making it look like a joke on a serious
matter.
4. TEDDY BEAR IN A TREE
Although told it was a good storyline and would be quite simple
to create we have to think about whether the metaphor would
be understood by the audience.
Taking this on board we though about having flashes to cuts of a
little girl to help with the narrative.
It may be difficult to shock an audience like the story was written
intending to do. It would have to be filmed in a particular way to
keep it serious as using a toy.
5. FANTASY LAND
Interesting idea of using the child being happy to be at school.
Told that it started off original and towards the end went cliché
so to put a twist on it have the child stuck in the fantasy and the
class are not able to wake him up.
Could be difficult to film a fantasy land making it look mystical
and show it is a dream.
Need more of a storyline of what happens whilst in his fantasy
land.
6. FINAL IDEA
In the end we decided on the story of the teddy
bear in the tree. We felt this would be a simple yet
effective short film both to create and watch.
Hopefully will be understood by the audience with
the feedback given to us to help with the storyline
and narrative making sense.
