Yang Chi completed a 6-month internship at NIZO food research where he worked on characterizing the heat resistance of spores from the thermophilic bacterium Geobacillus stearothermophilus. He produced a large number of well-organized data sets from his experiments and interpreted the results clearly in a report and structured data files. His supervisor noted that he worked very independently and proactively took responsibility for his project. Yang Chi also demonstrated strong English, social, and communication skills during his internship.
