The school board presentation proposed reductions to freshmen athletic scheduling and transportation to save approximately $150,000, including eliminating non-league games and double-header formats on Saturdays, reducing bussing costs by pushing back start times or staggering games to allow shuttle runs instead of multiple buses, and having same season sports share transportation when possible which was supported by athletic directors, principals, teachers and parents for more flexible scheduling and less time out of class.

3. Frosh Boys and Girls Basketball, Baseball, and Softball games would be played in a “double-header” format on Saturdays

4. Elimination of in-district bussing of Frosh teams when games begin after the close of the school day (push back start times to 4:30 when possible)

5. When bussing is necessary, teams would stagger start times, thus allowing for “shuttle runs” instead of multiple buses
