Common Best Practices:
Create a Timeline.
We strongly suggest that you create timeline at quarter end. Do not
wait until it is time to file to start this process. There needs to be a very
clear distinction of what is happening when.
Start with a well-drafted document from the beginning.
Start with a well-drafted document before sending to the vendor - as close to final as
possible. Ensure that the document has been proofed for not only correct content but
grammatical errors as well. REMEMBER – Time is Money; the more revisions you have,
the more you will spend with your provider!
Submit revisions in rounds versus page by page.
When submitting revisions, submit all at once as opposed to page by
page or one at a time. This helps streamline the process at both ends.
