This research, conducted over five years at the University of Oxford, investigates the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), natural language processing (NLP), and quantum cryptography, specifically focusing on the BB84 protocol and other NIST-approved algorithms. Utilizing a 'red teaming' approach, the study aims to simulate cyber-attacks to assess vulnerabilities in quantum security measures, with the goal of developing actionable solutions to enhance cybersecurity in a quantum-enhanced digital landscape. Ultimately, the findings are intended for widespread dissemination to bolster both academic understanding and practical applications in combating AI-driven cyber threats.
