Harold "Red" Grange was an American football player in the early 1900s and 1920s. He was an iconic running back known as the "Galloping Ghost" who played for the University of Illinois, where he was a three-time All-American, and later for the Chicago Bears in the NFL. Grange was also a sports celebrity who appeared in Hollywood films and visited schools to inspire students with his story. He was inducted into both the Pro Football and College Football Halls of Fame before developing Parkinson's disease and passing away in 1991 at age 87.
