Recycling processes used materials (waste) into new products in order to reduce waste, consumption of raw materials, energy usage, air and water pollution. It is the third component of the waste hierarchy of reduce, reuse, recycle. Materials that can be recycled include glass, paper, metal, plastic, textiles, and electronics. Recyclable materials are collected, sorted, cleaned and reprocessed into new materials for manufacturing. Recycling benefits include conserving resources, preventing pollution, saving energy, supplying industry with raw materials, creating jobs and reducing the need for landfills.

For domestic source separation using containers of different colors located in urban or rural:*Yellow container (containers) must be deposited in it all kinds of lightweight containers such as plastic containers (bottles, jars, bags, trays, etc..) cans (beverages, canned goods, etc.).*Blue Container (paper and cardboard): In this container must be disposed of cartons (boxes, trays, etc..) as well as newspapers, magazines, wrapping paper, advertising, etc. It is advisable to fold the boxes so that takes up minimal space inside the container.
