This document discusses the importance of conducting reconnaissance of potential filming locations to determine their suitability and whether they will work for the intended trailer. Test shots were taken at selected locations for a horror trailer and deemed relevant to include. Special effects will be used to add realistic 'fire' scenes rather than filming on location.

1. RECONNAISSANCE
The point of carrying out a reconnaissance into the location(s) in which we wish
to shoot our film is to establish and identify whether the places are suitable for
our trailer and whether they actually work for our trailer or not. By taking a
range of practise shots into out location we have been able to identify that the
locations we have chosen for our horror trailer are relevant and we wish to use
them within our trailer. With the ‘fire’ scene(s) however, we will use special
effects to add it to our trailer to make it more realistic and true-to-life.
