The pink tissue that surrounds your teeth is called gums which plays an important role in holding the teeth in the jaws. It is very important that these tissues remain in good health and care should be taken to see that the gums don’t inflame and recede or shrink from their actual position.

In the current unstable global economy, dentists must choose cost-effective treatment plans to meet patients' demands. A patient with bone loss in the lower jaw needed new dentures. The dentist used existing teeth and Ceka ball attachments to create a lower denture that was stable and affordable. The precision attachments allowed the natural teeth to stabilize the denture, providing a predictable solution similar to implant-retained dentures at a lower cost.

A 74-year-old patient with missing teeth and a removable partial denture for 10 years wanted a fixed prosthesis. Clinical examination found root caries on teeth 11, 12, 13, 23, and 25 and existing bridges on teeth 32-43 and 44-47. The treatment plan was to place 4 implants in the upper arch and 2 in the lower arch, followed by fixed prostheses. Temporary bridges were placed. On the day of surgery, extractions and implant placements were done. After 3 months, the implants were loaded with final prostheses.
