TOUR RECAP
ARTIST: Rebelution
VENUE: Cuthbert Ampitheater
DATE: 8/17/2014
REP: Daniel Cockriel
MARKET: Eugene Oregon
COLLEGE: University of Oregon
SHOW NOTES: Wow! I had an absolute blast promoting for Rebelution and was so honored to be
able to attend such an amazing show. I was a Rebelution fan before this promotion which made it
even cooler and the show only increased my love for this band. Eugene was a great place for them
to come as it is a very liberal and stoner/hippie like population. Most people in Eugene aren’t going
to turn down a little reggae music outdoors. This is so true that during my pre-promotion just about
every account I visited had already heard of Rebelution and if they weren’t already going to the
show they seemed interested in buying tickets. My friends were also super excited. I brought a
buddy and had three others buy tickets and tag along. The concert was filled with Oregonians in
the 17-35 age range. Most of which seemed very free spirited. The majority of the girls had on
patterned clothing and sundresses while a lot of the boys were in tank tops or relaxed clothing.
Many fans also had tattoos. It was also a very party oriented. Lots of joints were being passed
around and even thrown on stage. It was a very loving and sharing atmosphere which was
awesome. Everyone I talked to in the show had heard of Rebelution before and was there to see
them. However, some people also mentioned how good Iration, The Green, and Stick Figure are
too. There was no negative feedback regarding Rebelution and everyone loved the posters and
stickers. They made it super easy for us to get as close to the stage as we could. I came home with
no more materials. I talked to a few different security guards but unfortunately the venue does not
allow any posters to be hung anywhere inside. With these circumstances I hung a few posters on
the path to the venue from telephone posts and passed the rest out to fans inside the venue.

Account: House Of Records
Address: 258 E 13th Ave, Eugene, OR 97401
Description: House of Records is the local record shop. It is pretty close to campus making it very popular
amongst the U of O student population. They have a wide variety of records, CDs and posters. They even had
a section for reggae music. They had cubbies by the entrance designated for flyers and handouts so I left a

excited to hear they were coming.

She was a Rebelution fan and couldn’t wait to give each customer a Rebelution card with their purchase.

Account: Caspian’s Mediterranean Cafe
Address: 863 E 13th Ave, Eugene, OR 97401
Description: Caspian’s is a café right across from campus. They serve great Mediterranean food in a timely
manner. Its quality and convenience makes it very popular among the U of O student population. They serve
breakfast lunch and dinner. They also stay open super late on weekends to draw in the drunken students post
bars. It is a great place to target Oregon students who probably like Rebelution. They have a space by the
register for handouts where I left the Rebelution cards. The girl working was going to the concert and was
super excited so I also gave her a Rebelution sticker.
Account: Midtown Direct Smoke shop
Address: 133 E 13th Ave, Eugene, OR 97401
Description: Midtown Direct is another local smoke shop located right in the heart of Eugene across from
Pandora’s box. They offer all kinds of smoking accessories from glass to clothing. Smoking goes great with
Reggae music like Rebelution making this a great place to target potential fans. It’s popular among the U of O
stoners and locals alike. I’ve seen people of all different ages in here but they all have one thing in common
and that’s smoking. They had a small desk next to the cigars on the way out of the shop that I thought would
be a great spot for people to grab Rebelution cards.
Account: The Duck Store
Address: 895 E 13th Ave Eugene, OR
Description: The Duck Store is every Oregon students dream store. They have everything from books, to
clothing, to art supplies. They hardest part is finding a time to go when there isn’t a line because it is often
times filled with students and fans. It’s a great place to target students who may really like Rebelution. I talked
to a cashier and they were more than happy to hand out Rebelution cards with customer purchases.
