Brezno Industrial Park (so called Mostá-
reň Brezno) is located in the Central Slo-

4. The facility of the company REA-S,
Operation no. 4 METALEX, located in
the Brezno Industrial Park, was built
and put into operation in 1988 as a „mi-
litary production hall“ where, during
the socialistic period (former plant of
Mostárne Brezno) were designed and
manufactured mobile pontoon bridges.
The production of bridges ended at the
turn of year 2019 and 2020.
The area is connected to the functional
railway junction. The railway track is the
company property and is connected to
the railway tracks of the nation provider
– ŽSR (Railways of the Slovak Republic).
The total length of the private railway is
exceeding 1.2 km. The railways are main-
tained and operational. The last railway
car is possible to be unloaded by exten-
ding the railway line outside the premi-
ses by a technological overlap of approx.
200 m.

Operation no. 4 METALEX
The hall no. 1 and hall no. 2 are separa-
ted by a wall made of the trapezoidal
sheets and there is the wall made of the
concrete panel between hall no. 2 and
hall no. 3. There is the internal transport
network – electric railway siding (with a
track gauge of 1500 mm) that connects
all the halls.
The operation hall no. 4 consists of four
halls, a separate gatehouse with a bar-
rier and a social building. There are four
separate housing units in the service
building (dress room, offices).

6. The hall No. 1 has the three entrance
gates, namely gate E1 (width of 4.15m,
height of 4.3m), E2 (width of 4.15m,
height of 4.3m), B2 (width of 3.6m,
height of 3.5m), that connects the road.
The gate E2 is equipped with the so-cal-
led “thermal sleeve”. The thermal sleeve
is used to relieve the temperature nonu-
niformity preventing the heated air in
the hall is being ventilated in the win-
ter months once a truck entering to the
hall.
There are three transit cargo gates
between hall no. 1 and hall no. 2 in the
workshop no. 4 METALEX - V1 (wid-
th of 4.15m, height of 4.2m), P1 (width
of 4.95m, height of 4.9m), V2 (width of
4.15m, height of 4.2m) and two standard
passenger crossings.
There are also two train crossing gates
wide of 5.2 m and high of 5 m.
There are four remotely controlled cra-
nes with a capacity of 20 tons, 5 tons, 20
tons and 5 tons in the hall no 1. The ma-
ximum possible lift of each of the men-
tioned cranes is 8 m.

the entrance gate (width of 3.6m, height
of 3.5m).
There are three large transit cargo ga-
tes (in the hall no. 3), of which the smal-
lest - P2 has the width of 4.15m and the
height of 4.2m), plus there is one perso-
nal passage.
In hall no. 3 there are 3 remotely control-
led cranes with a capacity of 20 tons, 5
tons and 12.5 tons. The maximum pos-
