God begins His revelation to man by stating that He created all things. It reminds us of His power and that He is worthy of our worship. Refusal to submit to the Creator leads to moral corruption. All of us have turned away from God in sin, but Jesus died so that we could become new creatures.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers.
