Real-Scan provides high-fidelity 3D models directly from 2D medical scans that can be manipulated in real-time on low-cost hardware anywhere. It was founded in 2010 in Seattle by Sylvain Ordureau to make 3D patient scans affordable and accessible to medical students, educators, and practitioners. Real-Scan works with Nvidia and universities to develop new visualization techniques and leverage advances in GPU processing to deliver supercomputer-level performance at low cost.
