3. It started with pupils trooping in their countless numbers with excitement for a yet unknown experience. They picked their numbers. 250 energetic pupils
from Word of Faith School, Kings & Queens Montessori, Cedar Court British, Great Minds Int’l, Christ The King, Full Life Int’l Schools, King Solomon Int’l
Schools, Sanvee Int’l School, Graceland Int’l, Kings Kids Montessori, and other pupils from various church groups and the general public. They were
accompanied by teachers and administrators some adults took opportunity to learn as well

4. The Event lasted for 4Hours and
was fun-filled, exciting, educative
and informative. The students
contributed with highly
intellectual ideas to “Nigeria”
believing that some day their
books will count. Readers are

5. Everything you read fills your head with new bits of information, and you never know
when it might come in handy. The more knowledge you have, the better-equipped you
are to tackle any challenge you’ll ever face. Additionally, here’s a bit of food for thought:
should you ever find yourself in dire circumstances, remember that although you might
lose everything else—your job, your possessions, your money, even your health—
knowledge can never be taken from you.

6. Intellectual capital is the brain behind economic
and socio-political growth in a country. Reading is
one of the cheapest forms of entertainment, it is
even free on the internet or libraries. It
can stimulate your analytic thinking abilities and
skills. If we can teach Africans to Read we would
have helped them learn….thereby improving our
economy.

7. 1 Day Reading Activation “1Child1Book” because
….. I have a dream that one day, our beloved country Nigeria will
have the best learning citadels.
I have a dream that all Nigerians will be given an opportunity to
have affordable education in an environment that is secure and
stable; where our minds are not abused by the content on the
media but upheld by our history and culture.
We are Nigerians and we will deliver the future of our beloved
Country Nigeria!!

8. Nigeria like many other world countries
has an educational system that is facing a
siege with an academy full of learners yet
few readers, is our challenge peculiar? The
answer is NO. It is a world class challenge.
The more the entry of the media, the less
the concentration on prints and the more
we are loosing in leadership because there
are no informative methods to make the
children productive.
Have you ever imagined what Africa would
be if were had more informed leaders,
voters, teachers, doctors and readers…
Yes! Readers because it matters what you
read not just that you read!

9. We believe that teachers are
the bane of education and the
foundation of a child’s learning
system so we emphasize the
need for teachers to be
readers themselves as they are
the first depositors of
information and the donors of
knowledge.
They must Read, if they must
teach….
