POSITION: QA/QC ENGINEER
Objective:
To look for a growth oriented career position in the field of Civil Engineering and
Construction where my ability, education and potential can be utilized towards the achievement
of both company and personal goals.
Summary of Qualifications:
 To follow and ensure compliance of procedures stated in Project Quality Plan throughout the
project. To read the Project Specifications /BOQ /Drawings to have knowledge regarding the
specified requirements for different activities.
 To coordinate with Project Coordinator, Concrete Supplier and the Engineer/ Consultant
regarding concrete mix design, arranging trial mix and following up test reports for the
same. (Mainly at the beginning of the project)
 Checking of concrete and maintaining of concrete pour record with slump / temperature
information on daily basis.
 To monitor cube sampling, marking, curing and arrange cube testing in laboratory and any
other testing as per site requirements.
 Maintaining/Updating cube register regularly.
 To arrange samples of rebar (along with Mill Certificate) from the approved source/supplier
and conduct required testing at laboratory. (At the beginning of the project and there after
at agreed interval/frequency).
 To arrange all other tests as per Project Specifications/Engineers requirements and follow up
test reports from laboratory, reviewing and arrange submission to the consultant.(Discuss
the test results with the P.M./C.M./ QA-QC Manager as required or if any doubts regarding
compliance).
 Arrange inspection of all delivered materials and ensure compliance with approval
(regarding quality / approved samples / source) at site and maintain inspection record with
assistance from storekeeper. Also ensure proper storage method of all materials.
 Coordinate with Document Controller regarding circulation of updated drawing log at
regular interval.
 Preparation of Method Statement (with assistance from QA/QC Manager and coordination
with Project Manager / Construction Manager) for major items in advance in order to avoid
delay to commence any item.
 Reviewing Material-(Technical Data sheet) / Method Statement approval for any comments
from the Engineers / Consultant and take necessary action if required.

 Arranging concrete control check point with cube curing tank as per International Standards
requirements (with assistance from C.M. / Site Engineer).
 To submit Inspection Request for Engineers inspection in coordination with Project
Engineer/Site Engineer. Agree with site engineer for realistic time for inspection by the
Engineer prior to submit for I.R. to avoid upright rejection.
 To modify existing standard checklist (to suit site requirements) and maintain procedure of
checklist signed by all concerned staff (SE/ QA /-QC /Surveyor) /sub-contractors for each
major item.
 To maintain log for Inspection Request., NCR, Method Statement etc. (with assistance from
Document Controller).
 To identify and issue site observation / NCR (internal) to the supplier, sub – contractor,
Contractor construction team when required.
 To follow up reply /closing of NCR (issued by the Engineer /Consultant) after necessary
action taken by construction team.
 To make daily random inspection at site for ongoing activities (executed by Contractor
/Subcontractors) to ensure compliance with approved Method Statement, Material,
specification, Drawing etc.
 To maintain proper filling system for all Quality related documents as mentioned above and
as per Project Quality Plan.
