In 2012, i found Raspberry Pi when doing research on developing tunnel mechanism for ISO 8473 over IP network. This board was a testbed for the tunnel mechanism on this protocol which supposed to be a Ground to Ground Airport ATC communication protocol. After the research was ended, my team use this board at our class of System Programming. We intend to teach the students to experience some hands on on developing "system appliance" and "firmware" using GNU/Linux. In the end, the students were able to develop some interesting appliances, from a simple access point to "smart home" and traffic light simulator. In this presentation i will share the joy and creativity which can be developed by using this board as teaching tool.Raspberry Pi is such wonderful board with great community. It even have a community based monthly magazine which shared lots of ideas for development using this board.
