Job Responsibilities
 Reviewing RFPs and Tender documents, Specifications, Basis of Design and drawings and
determine the scope of work and required contents for estimate.
 Interpreting & reviewing system drawings to identify any difference to tender requirements and
raise queries against specification.
 Preparing tender queries to consultants/clients to confirm and collect any missing data including;
performance & defect liability bonds, contract conditions and clauses etc. and any special
requirements.
 Preparing material take off using PLANSWIFT–9(Quantity take off Software) from tender
drawings.
 Sending enquires to supplier & sub-contractor and analysis the quotation technically and
commercially.
 Organizing meetings with suppliers & sub-contractors to obtain competitive quotes.
 Developing tender cost summaries including equipment, materials and labour calculations for
Management approval.
 Reviewing and generating Bill of Quantity against system drawings to ensure alignment and to
identify materials types & quantities and prepare equipment lists and rough drawings for cost
estimation.
 Preparing price analysis against all the items in the submittal B.O.Q.
 Produce schedule of rates.

2.  Preparing specification documents and Bill of quantities to submit to vendors for quotations of
cost/price of materials and equipment and evaluate same against tender specifications to include
in final tender documentation.
 Build relationships and liaise with local & international suppliers and vendors and manage daily
correspondence for quantities, costs and specifications.
 Guiding and educating the assistant estimators and quantity surveyors.
 Explaining and briefing the project/operation team after award of tender.
