Dear Student Service Center,
I would like to take an opportunity to offer a recommendation for Raj Chhaya. I feel that he is an excellent candidate for
Warrior Orientation Leader position and would align well with their missions and values.
I first came to know Raj through Residence Life and then again as his advisor for The Towers Residential Suites Hall Council
where he served as a Vice President. He also worked at Student Painters where he would handle promotional marketing. Raj
demonstrates many qualities that will help him in the role of a Warrior Orientation Leader such as, attention to detail,
thoroughness, and dedication to completing tasks, follow-up, and delivering on promises. Raj applies all these principles to
every aspect of his personal and professional life and is always willing to go above and beyond what is required of him to get a
job or task done. In addition to focusing on completing his course work, Raj also takes the time to build relationships with
other students and teachers. He builds a rapport with many of his colleagues in school and the various other programs he is
involved in that is hard to find elsewhere. Raj provides encouragement and support to students, teachers, and other associates
that they may never experience again in their professional careers. Raj has a unique capability to bring the best out of people
and encourages others to be and do their best.
As Vice President of Hall Council, Raj has helped organize events in our building. He plans to attend the Great Lakes Affiliate
of College and University Residence Halls (GLACURH) Conference in November. It will be the first time Wayne State
University has attended the conference and Raj will be an influential part in our affiliation with GLACURH. In addition to all
of this, Raj is also one of the most dedicated members of the Indian Student Association. He has actively participated in most
events and hopes to get more involved in the future. Raj has tirelessly worked towards being actively involved on campus and
making a positive impact.
Raj is a bright and personable individual. He is highly self-motivated and well capable of achieving any goal he sets his mind
to. He leads by example and many people find his enthusiasm and dedication both inspiring and motivating. If you give Raj
the opportunity to be a Warrior Orientation Leader you will gain an individual that will be dedicated, positive, upbeat, and
willing to go above and beyond what the position asks for. In my opinion, Raj’s unwavering devotion to the community,
education and organization exemplifies strong moral fiber and character. He is a trustworthy individual and would be an
excellent candidate for Warrior Orientation Leader position. He has the character, skills, and knowledge necessary to be
successful. Raj would be an asset and valuable resource to any organization or area that he becomes part of and I highly
recommend him for this position.
Sincerely,
Ahmad Hassan Awada M.Ed.
