Project Description:
Aviva is the world's fifth largest insurance group and the largest in the
UK.Integration & Messaging act as a communicating module between the existing different
applications, which need to interact with each other in order to exchange data & information.
Axis Framework works for the same purpose so as to make the communication exchange of
data possible. I am working as a tester to check end to end system functionality.
I&M is a project on Integration and Messaging for AVIVA insurance. It is a
middleware project. i.e. it is used to test the backend process or the processing done in the
server side. The server side procesing is done using the services (or methods) provided. The
messages are sent from Client to Server using SOAP. SOAP stands for Simple Object Access
Protocol. It is an XML-based protocol to let applications exchange information over HTTP.It is a
protocol for accessing a Web Service. SOAP provides a way to communicate between
applications running on different operating systems, with different technologies and
programming languages.
Procedure
Fire the Request XML through test harness tool.
Check in the MB’s AF log, whether the flow is as per the test case.
Check whether the database has been updated with valid values.
There are different modules used in this. Some of them can be: Commercial Automation (CA),
Strategic Creditors, Claim Purchase Ledger (CPL), Turbo Pipe. I have worked on CA and Strategic
Creditors.
