The first Americans crossed into North America from Asia over a land bridge between Siberia and Alaska during the last ice age approximately 30,000 years ago. As the ice age ended, sea levels rose and the land bridge disappeared. Different groups adapted to their environments by developing different ways of life and cultures based on available natural resources. While cultures varied regionally, most Native American groups shared beliefs like nature having a spirit and only using necessary resources.
Drupal: Mitigating Risk with Multiple Content CreatorsiFactory
iFactory delivered this webinar on April 3rd as part of our iFactoryEd webinar series.
In the higher ed web environment, there are often a wide variety of administrative users. While we want the creation and maintenance of content to be easy, we also want to guarantee that non-technical content creators cannot "break" the site.
In this webinar, we illustrate a few configuration options to show how to safely allow users to provide site content. We also demonstrate how tests can be used to verify the site's continued smooth operation within a moving landscape of content and code updates.
Topics covered:
> Configuring some aspects of the Drupal admin to enable a wide variety of users to create content
> Writing and running Selenium tests to challenge your site's functionality
> Using Drupal's SimpleTest module to verify functionality of custom modules
The presenter was Lisa Sawin, Solutions Architect for iFactory. This was part 1 of a 3 part series.

Traditionally, IT departments have primarily been responsible for sourcing analytical software tools
and carrying out complex data analysis for their organizations. As companies push for improved operational insight, they demand greater amounts of data analysis. As a result, IT departments increasingly find themselves struggling to keep up with the volume of incoming requests. A new set of software tools built specifically to empower data analysts in line-of-business teams offer an important opportunity to address this concern. They provide the benefits of data analysis without placing burdens on the IT department.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Rachelsanchez First American
1. America In The Beginning Who were the first Americans? This land bridge is known as Beringia. Animals like mammoths crossed the bridge or migrated to the America's. This caused ocean levels to lower and expose land. In the Bering straight a land bridge appeared connecting North America & Asia. 30,000 years ago During a period of low temperatures called an ice age. The world was covered in glaciers. or sheets of ice. How and why did they come here?
2. America In The Beginning What happened when they came to America? The ice age ended warming up glaciers causing water levels to rise covering up the land bridge. Some animals died off like mammoths. Living in many different parts of the Americas the Natives needed to adjust or adapt to every thing in the new surrounds that made up each of their own environment in order to live. How did they meet their new needs? Hunter's in Asia who moved from place to place to find food or nomads followed the mammoths and spread out or migrate to the America's
3. How did Native Americans adjust to the new environments? America In The Beginning Different groups in different environments developed their own beliefs and ways of life or culture. Groups in the same environments adapted similar life styles, and language creating cultural region. Many Native American have these things in common. 1. Nature has a spirit. 2. No one can own land. 4. Only use what is needed. 5. Trade was important to most societies. Living in many different parts of the Americas the Natives used the different natural resources in their own different environments for food, clothing, and shelter. What did they have in common?
