T H E I N D I A N T O U R I N G C A R C H A M P I O N S H I P ( I T C ) is the most prestigious racing category
in India. The regulations in use allow for extensive modifications to a production based
Indian road car below the capacity of 1800cc under a cc to weight ratio limitation. This
makes the championship the most technically challenging and competitive racing class
in India. The series is identical to the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship), which is
run in the U.K. and the Japanese Super GT (Japanese Touring Car), which is run in Japan.
The category was formed in 2007 to bring in technical engineering skill-set of teams and
driving expertise of drivers together on a common platform. The cars are engineered to
produce very high horsepower, have completely re-engineered chassis, braking systems,
complex gearbox systems, electronics and state of the art suspensions and aerodynamic
components.
Race Concepts debuted its Honda City VTEC ITC car and won 3 races out of 7, with a
further 3 podium finishes during the 2015 season taking the team’s lead driver Deepak
Chinnappa to second overall in the championship. The car is the fastest ever Honda to
go around any of the Indian racing circuits.
Race Concepts plans to field 3 ITC Honda City cars for the 2016 season to establish a
stronger hold in the category and aim for more driver titles and the team championships.
The goal is to set better standards and improve Indian motorsports as a whole by de-
veloping competitive machinery and producing better drivers.

K A R T I N G is one of the most basic forms of motorsport not only in India but around the
world and is one of the earliest steps to realising your potential as a Formula One driver.
These days Formula One champions begin their karting careers at the age of 7 and spend
more time in a kart than any other Junior Formula Series.
In 2016, race concepts will debut its Karting team both in the national championship
and conduct various training programmes on both two-stroke and four-stroke karts.
The J.K.Tyre Rotax Max Karting Championship is India’s flagship Karting cham-
pionship featuring over 45 competitors in three different categories based on
the age of a driver.
Karting
The first of these classes is called the Micro Max class which is designed for the age group between 7-12
years old. The karts are much smaller in this category though are still powerful enough to hit 80km/h.
The second class is called the Junior Max which is designed for the age group between 13-16. The engines
of these karts produce 22 bhp and are capable of reaching speeds close to 120 km/h.
The third and final class is the Senior Max category which is open to anyone over the age of 15, the engines
used in this category produce 28 bhp and the karts are capable of reaching speeds in excess of 140 km/h,
however due to various technical reasons the karts never reach their full potential.

Why Karting?
It is a unique sport that provides your child an alternate route into
the world of sport.
It has been proven that those with a significant Karting background
tend to do better in the various Formula Car categories.
Further, Karting provides both discipline and fitness in children of
all ages and acts as a healthy distraction.
Racing weekends can be seen as a way of family bonding.
Finally, race weekends all occus on the weekends hardly affect both
school hours for the children and working hours for the parents.

Hello, I’m Varun from Bangalore! I started racing karts at age 17. In 2012 I was trained
by Toyota Racing Development (TRD) to race touring cars. In 2 years, I won 5 races and
finished on the podium 9 times in the Toyota EMR championship. I am the first driver
to win internationally for Toyota India, representing them in Thailand in 2013! I also
finished 2nd overall in the MRF National Racing Championship 2015, with multiple
wins and fastest laps. I will be aiming for the top title in Indian racing - the Indian
Touring Car (ITC) Championship in 2016. A racing driver with a mind for business, I am
a team founder, racing manager and coach with Race Concepts Motorsports.
Hi, I’m Rahul from Bangalore and I started racing Karts in 2002. Besides racing, I
have served as manager to team BPC Racing as well as managing the careers of
Arjun and Kush Maini in Europe. I believe with my exposure I am the right man
to scout talent for Race Concepts Motorsports as well as map a route through Eu-
rope for our more serious drivers. I will also maintain and liaison with our connec-
