This document provides a template for conducting reference checks on job applicants. It includes sections for recording applicant and referee details, as well as a list of questions to ask referees about the applicant's job performance, strengths/weaknesses, ability to meet objectives, customer/co-worker relationships, work quality under pressure, attendance, and whether the referee would re-employ the applicant. It also includes a section to record the referee's assessment of how well the applicant meets the key selection criteria for the position. HR staff are to complete and return all recruitment documentation to Human Resources.
