Quinn support is secretly overpowered according to the document. It provides three main benefits:
1. Quinn support has strong early game lane pressure and bullying potential through her passive, Q, and ability to easily proc Glacial Augment with her E.
2. Her mobility from W and R allows her to ward aggressively and gain deep vision control while denying enemy vision with Umbral Glaive.
3. Her kiting and peeling abilities from E, Glacial Augment slow, and ultimate movement speed steroid allow her to protect her ADC in teamfights late game.

파이콘 한국 2019 - 파이썬으로 서버를 극한까지 끌어다 쓰기: Async I/O의 밑바닥Seomgi Han

The document discusses prototyping for game design. It defines prototyping as creating an early playable version of a game to test mechanics and gather feedback. Prototypes should be playable, quick to make, and easy to change. Different types of prototypes are discussed, including physical prototypes using items like paper and cardboard, as well as digital prototypes. Rapid prototyping is recommended to quickly test ideas. Examples of prototyping board games, first-person shooters, and game mechanics are provided. The importance of player feedback is emphasized.
This document outlines the design of the game Destination Rush. It includes sections on the design history and iteration process, game overview including concept and target audience, gameplay and mechanics such as objectives and drag-and-drop movement, and planned playtesting. The game involves quickly and accurately transporting passengers to matching destinations on planes to earn money while avoiding mistakes that result in losses. Mystery boxes and upgrades add variety. The game was iterated based on playtesting to refine objectives, pricing, and mechanics.
This document discusses the negative effects of computer and video game use on brain development and cognitive functioning in children and adolescents. It argues that excessive screen time can harm brain development, weaken logical thinking skills, and encourage impulsive behaviors. It also claims that video games specifically train automatic reactions rather than conscious thinking, and may "animalize" players by reducing them to reactive machines. The document recommends limiting computer use until ages 16-17 to avoid hindering the development of flexible, creative thinking.
The document provides guidelines for developers adapting board games to the Board Game Arena (BGA) platform. The guidelines cover game layout, usability, accuracy to the original game, and technical quality. Key recommendations include using the original game art, ensuring fidelity to original rules, providing intuitive interfaces, and writing code in clear English. The guidelines aim to help games be easily understood by players and approved by publishers for the BGA platform.
In an environment where cloud-scaling applications is becoming more and more important, client-server architectures paradigms, as shown by memcached, are back with vengeance. In this talk, Galder will talk about Hot Rod, Infinispan's new client/server binary protocol, explaining the key differences compared to memcached's binary protocol, such as the possibility of receiving cluster topology changes. Audience of this talk will learn of the importance of Hot Rod in 'cloud-scale' application server clustering, where stateless application server instances could use Infinispan Hot Rod clients to retrieve state from an elastic farm of Infinispan Hot Rod servers, improving capabilities to run application server instances as a PaaS. The talk will finish with a brief demo of a cluster of Infinispan Hot Rod servers running on EC2 being accessed from a non-Java client. The audience is expected to have an intermediate understanding of client-server software architectures and cloud deployments.

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.

Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.
What to expect
For the upcoming meetup we are organizing, we have an exciting lineup of activities planned:
-Insightful presentations covering two practical applications of the Power Grid Model.

In the realm of cybersecurity, offensive security practices act as a critical shield. By simulating real-world attacks in a controlled environment, these techniques expose vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them. This proactive approach allows manufacturers to identify and fix weaknesses, significantly enhancing system security.
This presentation delves into the development of a system designed to mimic Galileo's Open Service signal using software-defined radio (SDR) technology. We'll begin with a foundational overview of both Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and the intricacies of digital signal processing.
The presentation culminates in a live demonstration. We'll showcase the manipulation of Galileo's Open Service pilot signal, simulating an attack on various software and hardware systems. This practical demonstration serves to highlight the potential consequences of unaddressed vulnerabilities, emphasizing the importance of offensive security practices in safeguarding critical infrastructure.
Fueling AI with Great Data with Airbyte WebinarZilliz
This talk will focus on how to collect data from a variety of sources, leveraging this data for RAG and other GenAI use cases, and finally charting your course to productionalization.
How information systems are built or acquired puts information, which is what they should be about, in a secondary place. Our language adapted accordingly, and we no longer talk about information systems but applications. Applications evolved in a way to break data into diverse fragments, tightly coupled with applications and expensive to integrate. The result is technical debt, which is re-paid by taking even bigger "loans", resulting in an ever-increasing technical debt. Software engineering and procurement practices work in sync with market forces to maintain this trend. This talk demonstrates how natural this situation is. The question is: can something be done to reverse the trend?
2. No one plays her, it looks strange (but it works), so it will give you a
mysterious aura — other players are gonna think you are cool and
funny at parties you often get invited to and that you might be a genius
theorycrafting new way to play League of Legends (that’s cool and
NOT autistic)
F i r s t
Bad Arguments
3. Bad Arguments
It just doesn't only look cool, it is COOL — you backflip over anyone,
throw birds like in a Hitchcock’s movie, run and fly faster than anyone
else, scream like a warrior every time you use your ultimate. It is
WILD — All your basic instincts have been put into one champion and
it is Quinn.
S e c o n d l y
4. Spells
It helps you poke easily your enemies without putting you into danger
thank to Quinn's W bringing her movement speed when hitting
someone with her passive.
P a s s i v e – H a r r i e r
5. Spells
Even if this ability name sounds like you might be an exhibitionist, it is
something totally different: A skillshot that blinds the first enemy hit
and deals damages in a small area — You can disarm for 1.75 seconds
an ADC and prevent him/her from using their most reliable move :
auto-attacking (basically 4v5 GG WP), you can also easily poke and
help your ADC pushing a wave with it.
Q - B l i n d i n g A s s a u l t
6. Spells
How many times you were fighting an epic battle and as you were
already hearing the death knell, you lost vision of your opponent
because they went in a bush? How many times were you going to
ward in the red team jungle to have a pretty vision score but get
caught and died alone letting your team thinking you are maybe
indeed - retarded?
W - H e i g h t e n e d S e n s e s
Say NO MORE thanks to Quinn’s W!
It gives VISION, that's it, greatest ability in the game.
You will be safe
7. Spells
Let me ask you a question — How many ranged champions that is not
spooky and made of sticks have a point & click and instant non-
ultimate hard CC? One! It's Quinn’s E. So you will tell me :
E - V a u l t
BUT ZAOL WHAT DO YOU
MEAN HARD CC IT ONLY
LASTS LIKE 0.1 SECOND?
Pssst pssst pssst! Not so fast! Don’t spoil
yourself, I’ll show you later
8. Spells
You can roam as much as you want, get wards at base and getting
rapidly back to your lane, Quinn's R gives a ton of mobility and thus
opportunities for your team since you don't have any waves to push,
you can help your mates all around the map and catching enemies
with your E. It also helps you warding/dewarding an area really fast
combined with Quinn's W.
R - B e h i n d E n e m y L i n e s
VISION SCORE GOES BRRRR
11. That’s the reason Quinn’s E is powerful: You are able to activate Glacial
Augment with it easily, so you slow them for 3 seconds (or 1.5
seconds if Glacial Augment isn't ready), reducing damages on your
fellow mates, giving you some way to escape ganks and marking them
with Vulnerable (Quinn’s mark) to bring extra damage and earning
you golds quickly with your support item with the mash-up : Auto-
attack → E → Auto-attack (3 hits/60 golds).
The slow brings you more impact when ganking someone or catching
someone out of position.
G l a c i a l A u g m e n t
Runes
12. Since you only need your boots when you hit level 6, both timer will
almost match, it will also compensate the loss of movement speed
mobility boots give you and giving you 300 golds for free.
Or you can also choose Perfect Timing if you are a pussy (You won’t fly
as fast).
M a g i c a l F o o t w e a r
Runes
13. Basic but it will help you getting your items faster and since Quinn’s
support build is not expensive, it will allow you to have a huge item
lead compared to your direct opponent thus you’ll provide more
pressure than him, at least, I hope you will.
F u t u r e ’ s M a r k e t
Runes
14. It will reduce the cooldown of your Ignite or Exhaust giving you extra
pressure in lane and ability haste for your items passive like Umbral
Glaive and your trinket.
C o s m i c I n s i g h t
Runes
15. The second runes tree is gonna be the domination one with Cheap
Shot giving you extra damages and a better laning phase since it
synergies well with Quinn's E.
C h e a p S h o t
Runes
16. And finally, Zombie Ward : since you are going to be a vision score
Queen with your mobility, Umbral Glaive and W, it will give you and
your team even more vision.
Z o m b i e W a r d
Runes
17. Build
It brings you golds quickly with your range, pokes and mash-ups.
S p e c t r a l S i c k l e
19. Build
It gives you a good amount of AD and lethality which is often
effective against squishy champions giving you an incredible
laning phase, you'll get this item quite fast — since it is only 2300
golds, that you don't have to buy boots thank to Magical Footwear
and your Spectral Sickle is easy to stack with your range and
abilities. It brings a lot of lane control.
U m b r a l G l a i v e
20. Build
It can increase your allies damage against anyone you caught or
during any fight with Quinn's E. It will also gives you more
tankiness which is always useful as a support often going behind
enemy lines to ward or catching enemies, it gives you also a bit of
CDR reduction and it is once again cheap
E v e n s h r o u d
21. Build
Anti-healing items are always useful and this one has the
advantage of being cheap and giving stats providing you damages
as a former ADC champion.
M o r t a l R e m i n d e r
22. Build
It gives you better stats and provide more vision as soon you hit
level 13 giving you and your team more map control.
W a t c h f u l W a r d s t o n e
23. Gameplan
Early Game
Mid Game
As a former ADC champion, your early game is strong — You have
a lot of lane pressure, you can punish easily any mispositioning
with your E. Poke with your Q when behind. You can ward deep
using your W. You should try to get a lead early on so your ADC
can play alone later.
24. Gameplan
Early Game
Mid Game
Late Game
Use your mobility to ward deep to gain information on the enemy’s
jungler while denying their vision with your Umbral Glaive and
then try to catch anyone isolated if your team can follow.
25. Gameplan
Mid Game
Late Game
Use your mobility to provide vision near important objectives and
peel your ADC with your E during fights. Late isn’t really Quinn
support strength so it is in the hands of God now, pray.
