We all have bad spending habits that we have tried to
get rid of but never actually do
Student’s recklessly spend their money on a weekly
basis, without worrying about future costs and savings
To earn extra cash, students tend to work longer hours
However, The Institute of Social Research at the
University of Michigan found that, “working more than 15
to 20 hours a week is linked to decreased academic
achievement”

The problem
“Many students and graduates lack
the fundamentals of:
- Budgeting
- Spending less than they earn”

College
The problem
Students lack a
convenient platform
that helps them
realize cost-savings
on a daily basis
To create a platform that helps students manage/limit their budget, keep track of their
expenses weekly, and help them adapt better financial decisions
Quid is a mobile app
Many students are switching to using Android/Apple pay and PayPal to pay for
their expenditure on the go instead of using the traditional bank cards. Businesses
have adapted and now are accepting this as a payment method
Using Quid, users are able to upload a certain amount of money from their
Android/Apple pay or PayPal account weekly onto their Quid Card
In doing so, users are restricted to only using the amount that they chose to limit
themselves to every week

Competition
● The Quid card is different from its competitors because it’s connected to one’s Android/Apple pay
or PayPal account. A user is prompted to set a weekly budget for themselves. The Quid card is
used for one’s weekly expenses and can’t be refilled within the week once it’s used up. This
allows users to see why they overspent each week. A user can see they are overspending and
can now start to adjust their weekly spending habits by thinking twice before buying some
‘Chipotle’
● Businesses are encouraged to join the Quid platform as we provide them a direct channel to
advertise to our users. Since we provide our users "Deals" based on their location, local
businesses can promote their brands by offering Quid users discounts or other promotions. This
in turn helps save Quid users some money and helps enhance sales for local businesses
● Lastly we encourage saving habits. If a Quid user stays under one’s budget, they can either
rollover the extra money to the following weeks, or transfer to their “Funds”. Funds are your goals,
and goals are what you want in the future like the next IPhone 7. By slowly saving each week, a
user will have enough money saved up to buy the phone when it’s released
Why are we unique?
Thank you for your time and consideration, we hope that you
have a better understanding of our solution and our goal
through this application.
