         it keep us plugged in to “the
         real world”.

mostly be about appearance, specs and
screen size rather than anything else

  • 21. The Fundamental Change The arrival of “apps” takes us beyond the phone and it became a hundred devices in one that serves differing functions for each user. With constant connectivity, it keep us plugged in to “the real world”.
  • 22. More Device Choices …though the devices themselves will not radically change. Major innovations will mostly be about appearance, specs and screen size rather than anything else
  • 23. Growing Addressable Market Cheaper devices and lower data tariffs. Everyone has a smartphone Chinese smartphone markets will be DOUBLE that of USA in 2 years !
  • 24. Easy Monetization Global markets now within reach 70:30 rev share led the market Everyone (almost) can sell apps or make money from in-app purchase
  • 25. App Wars How many apps is too many apps ? Large developer communities means even more apps. The issue of discovery becomes an important consideration. Apps growing vertical – no longer “single” purpose
