This document discusses moving beyond Newtonian assumptions of behavior to a quantum behavioral mechanics approach in education. It argues that punishing or rewarding behaviors may not always work as expected. Instead, it suggests focusing on purpose, autonomy, and fostering mastery and engagement in students. The goal is to have self-motivated students by empowering their autonomy and engagement, rather than relying on external controls.
