Coach Bosier outlines the philosophy for his freshman football team at La Costa Canyon High School. He expects all players to be great sons, great citizens, great students, and great athletes. To achieve this, players must honor their parents, volunteer in the community, sit in the front of class and help other students, and prepare both mentally and physically for athletic challenges. The goal is for each player to represent their family, school, and team positively in all aspects of their life.

Our athletes must be able to accomplish their basic functions as great sons, great citizens,
great students and great athletes. This is the standard of the La Costa Canyon High School
Freshman Football Team. Every player has vowed to work hard to represent their family,
community, school and team in a positive light every day. This is a tough task, but luckily we
have great teammates to help us stay on point. The following is a breakdown of the exact actions
a member on our team must ATTACK:
Great Son - Honoring your parents with the utmost respect. Being a loyal family member.
Taking charge of your daily chores and getting them done on time. Mentor your younger siblings.
Represent your family with pride.
Great Citizen – Involve yourself positively in the community. Get to know community
leaders and people of influence in the area. Volunteer!!! Always say hello to Law enforcement
and Fire department professionals.
Great Student – We sit in the front row of every class. Assist the teacher with keeping
order in the class. Turn in your homework on time. Don’t always take the easy assignment,
challenge yourself in the classroom as you do on the field. Embrace learning. Educate others,
mentor others, help other succeed in class. Always be a student first!
Great Athlete – Prepare your body and mind for physical and mental challenges. Keep
your equipment clean and ready for battle. Trust your coaches and earn the trust of your
teammates. Become a student of the game. Lead when it’s your time to do so. Last but not least,
always ATTACK! (100%, 100% of the time).
