QR BASED TICKET SYSTEM

• At present, ticket checking is done in Jetties and wharfs before
boarding the boat/ship.
• Ticket checking is manual process and long queue of passengers often
delay the boarding process and time.
• There is need for solution which can ensure 100% ticket checking.
• The solution should be such that passenger need not have to wait for
getting his ticket checked.

The problem statement
• The QR scanner at every exit of the jetties will verify the digital
tickets that have unique QR code for every registered passenger.
• In case, if the passenger have forged ticket then the QR barrier will
remain closed during scanning.
• In another situation, assuming there are three ports A,B & C and if
the passenger who has booked the departure ticket at port B gets
down at port C, then also the QR barrier remains closed but during
this scenario it alerts the officials through IOT and turns on the
alarm.
