BIMS is a food and hospitality services company experiencing poor employee performance, morale, and a higher than normal turnover rate of 64%. The general manager Barbara Tucker and HR manager Debbie Horner conducted a survey of 78 employees to understand the causes of staff dissatisfaction. The survey included questions about working conditions, training, compensation, treatment, communications, and job security. While the normal turnover rate is 55-60%, it has increased to 64% in the last 4 months. The survey results showed low, negative scores across questions, with the mean, median, and mode all reflecting dissatisfaction. The team concluded that improving employee relations could help lower the turnover rate.
