1. QASymphony Rolls Out Testing Platform qTest
New testing platform marks strategic change in the way solutions are delivered.
Atlanta, GA (USA), January 28, 2014 -- QASymphony ( http://www.qasymphony.com ), a
developer of QA software testing tools for agile development teams, today announced a shift to a
testing platform strategy and general availability of qTest and qTest eXplorer.
qTest is an enterprise test management platform that fully supports agile testing. Also announced
today is qTest eXplorer ( http://www.qasymphony.com ), an add-on to qTest that automatically
captures a tester’s actions in both text steps and screen captures.
Together these integrated tools comprise a testing management platform that offers complete
support for agile testing and provide the only consolidated testing platform to support both
scripted and unscripted testing.
Available as a SaaS application for $29 per user per month, qTest provides a collaborative work
environment for teams to manage requirements, design test cases, plan test execution, track
defects, and generate status and quality-metrics reports.
qTest eXplorer (available as an add-on to the qTest Platform at $9 per user per month) performs
unscripted session-based testing and can generate step-by-step documentation with screen
captures. The qTest eXplorer integrated solution monitors session time, or the ability to define the
duration of a session and see the remaining time. It intelligently captures step-by-step user
actions in both text and screen captures, providing clear traceability into what was tested. Users
can then submit the detailed documentation directly into the qTest Platform to auto generate test
cases that can be used in future scripted regression testing.
“The testing tools of today don’t fully empower testers to meet the demands of today’s rapid, agile
development environment,” says Vu Lam, CEO, QASymphony. “Historically the needs of these
different testing methodologies have been met through point solutions. But the realities of the
demands on today's testers call for a more integrated approach that provides testers with the
flexibility they need to gain the benefits across different testing techniques.”
qTest arrives fully featured with pre-built integration with popular development lifecycle
tools and defect tracking systems. Some of the features and modules include:
* Test Planning
* Requirement management
* Test case management
* Test execution
* Defect tracking
* Dashboards and Reports
* Built in workflows and collaboration
