WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT
TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS
OF CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?
Camera
• I have learnt that in the photo taking process there are
many filter options, zoom lengths and camera effects that
can be used to give your photograph a better effect. This is
a great thing as it means that photographs that are taken
can be given the camera effects from the beginning rather
than having them edited in. This caused the shots taken by
the photographer to have better quality. This improves the
whole marketability of the product as the products having a
better quality look increases their overall quality. Studio
photo-shoots can also increase the quality of a photograph
as lighting can be manipulated to give the best possible
quality picture .
• Also I have leartnt the correct camera choice will always
affect the overall appeal of the magazine. This is because a
low megapixel camera will produce a low quality photo
which will result in the whole magazine to have a worse
overall aesthetic pleasure which will result in it being less
appealing.
Computer Programmes
• I have also learnt that adobe Photoshop has a
huge amount of effects and editing options for
the development of a magazine. This is a good
thing for the magazine industry as it allows each
company to have its own unique look to their
magazines as there are many effects to allow this
to happen. This eliminates the need for any costly
or dangerous effects that are wanted in a photo
to be done naturally and allows for any issues
with the original photo to be taken care of. This
also gives the magazines creator greater artistic
choice as they are able to edit the photograph as
much as they want in order to get a picture that
appeals to them.
Conclusion
• The technologies discussed were
good things for me as I was able to
test a range of shots and camera
effects and come to a clear and
concise decision on what kind of
photograph I would like and I was
also able to make sure that my
magazine was completely different
from everyone else in the class due
to the huge range of editing options.
These things gave me the best
possible results when it came to
producing my magazine.
